Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk preferred
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Ice and Salt
  • 4 cups Ice Crushed or cubed
  • 1/2 cup Salt Rock salt or kosher salt

Method
 

Prepare Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Assemble Bags
  1. Pour the ice cream mixture into a quart-sized zip-top bag. Seal the bag tightly, ensuring no air is trapped inside.
  2. In a larger gallon-sized zip-top bag, add ice and salt. Place the smaller bag inside the larger bag and seal it.
Shake and Freeze
  1. Shake the bags vigorously for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens and hardens to your desired consistency.
  2. Remove the smaller bag from the larger bag and carefully wipe off any salt before opening.
Serve
  1. Scoop the ice cream into bowls and enjoy immediately.
