  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped) for garnish

Method
 

Matzo Ball Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix matzo meal, eggs, water, vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, and dill to form a dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  3. While the broth is boiling, form matzo dough into balls.
  4. Once the broth is boiling, reduce heat to simmer and add matzo balls.

  6. In a separate skillet, sauté carrots, celery, onion, and garlic until tender.
  7. Add sautéed vegetables and remaining salt and pepper to the pot with broth and matzo balls.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
