  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth

Method
 

  1. Cook the rotini in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Add diced onion and cook until translucent (about 5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Mix in ketchup, mustard, and beef broth; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the beef mixture until well coated. If necessary, add more broth for desired consistency.
