Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
Spices
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs in the crockpot, standing them upright if necessary.
  2. Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs, making sure they are well covered.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the ribs are tender.
Serve
  1. Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the crockpot and let them rest for a few minutes.
  2. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
