Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk chilled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into the Cuisinart ice cream maker.
  2. Turn on the machine and churn for about 20-25 minutes until the ice cream thickens and has a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  2. Scoop and serve as desired.
