Peanuts
  • 1 pound raw peanuts In-shell
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for heat

  • 6 cups water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the raw peanuts under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Place the rinsed peanuts in the crockpot.
  3. Add the salt and cayenne pepper to the peanuts.
  4. Pour in the water, ensuring the peanuts are fully submerged.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the peanuts are tender.
  2. Check occasionally and add more water if necessary to keep the peanuts submerged.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, drain the peanuts and serve warm or at room temperature.
