Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk whole or buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined, then gently fold in the blueberries.
Baking
  1. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times.
  2. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

For a sweeter biscuit, add more sugar to the dough or serve with honey or jam.
