  • 2 medium ripe avocados halved and pitted
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the ripe avocados, sour cream, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water to reach desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Stir in chopped cilantro if using.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
